Are you thankful that another national election “season” is now in the so-called history books? Well, it isn’t over! The pundits have a way to keep on keeping on with the verbiage about all the ins and outs of the election results. Some of the political talking heads want to explain away the results by explaining why “a fluke” happened. Others will pontificate at length ad nauseum about how it was a “blowout” and why. And, of course, there will be a few “prophets” who knew all along that Trump was destined to win another opportunity to save the nation. To all of the above I say, “Whatever!”
Now, let’s deal with a few facts:
- Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, South America, Central America, and North America are all in trouble! About the only places on the globe not in trouble would be (possibly) the Arctic and Antarctica (and who knows what’s happening in those two places?)?
- Culture in the U.S. is crazy! Most politics are corrupt! Our currency is unstable! The “church” is weak!
- China has the largest military. Iranian leadership is “nuts.” North Korea’s leader is “nuts” and dangerous. Russia is an aggressor.
- Mexico harbors drug cartels and allows them to operate against the interests of the U.S.
- The U.S. is being invaded by MOSTLY undesirables from many countries.
Okay, so enough is enough! I could ramble on and on about all the troublesome people, nations, events and developments happening now on this old globe. What would it gain? Nothing! It may be too late turn the world around to former days, but it is never too late to say “Whatever!” Whatever it is, it is. Whatever happens, happens.
God is still on the throne of the universe of universes. God is still alive. Jesus is at his right hand. Jesus is alive. The Holy Spirit is in this world of people. He is alive and active. Those who are Christ’s at his coming (and he is coming again) will rule and reign with him.
For a change, we will be in charge!
