The Branson Church of The Harvest was a scene of true spiritual refreshment yesterday.
The reports from Larry Zeitz's Bible class were outstanding! He has made the 45 minutes between 9:30 and 10:15 some of the greatest of the week in the Branson area. His knowledge of the scripture is phenomenal.
Our "Gathering Time" (approximately 10:30 to about 11:40 ... give or take a few minutes) features great music led by THE GILLIAMS (Larry and Suzanne). The portion of the gathering that features Holy Communion is always too meaningful for words.
Usually, my message is based on one word. For instance, in the past, I have used Listen, Hope, Authority, Control, and others. This coming Sunday the word will be "Search" (I think).
Yesterday featured a highlighted lunch after the 10:30 service. We used "Fall Celebration" as a theme but the event featured the 100th birthday of our beloved Barbara Ratter.
Oh, by the way, 47 folks were in attendance for worship.
Stay blessed,
Paul
P.S. Every Sunday at 3:30, THE GILLIAMS have a music and preaching time in the sanctuary that is sent forth via Facebook. Everyone is invited to attend.
This Sunday our special music will be by Amanda Rose (courtesy of Branson Gospel Singers Songwriters Association (BGSSA). BGSSA will have a PRAISE GATHERING the night before at 7:00 in the BEST W ESTERN downtown.
Sunday the 23rd we will have a Thanksgiving lunch following the service.
Sunday the 30th we will have "A signing Ceremony" for the giant mural on our north outside wall (by the artist Valerie Clayton), and we will formally dedicate the picture.
