A progress report?

It is 4:07 P.M. October 2, 2025 as I sit in my writing room at my computer desk. I am just beginning the process of typing something to resemble a short memoir, or a secular look at today’s world, or a prophetic view of events and circumstances. Who knows what will show up on this page? I believe God knows. From Him, nothing is hidden!
My short memoir is a condensed look at 90 years and 124 days (almost). Nearly 72 of those years were spent in ministry, and “the beat goes on.” I have preached in several states, many communities, multiple churches and other venues, and over radio, television and the internet. I even preached in a fairground grandstand overlooking a race track! Oh, and twice I preached from a rowboat anchored just off shore to folks gathered under a small, make-shift cross. Once when in a single engine Cessna airplane, I prayed when the young pilot began to “show off.” I saved my “preaching” to him after I was safely back on terra firma. End of memoir.
Now, my secular look at today’s world will not take up much time or space. Here it is: the world is nuts! Most of the “news” is fake! Politicians are overpaid and underworked! World War III could “break out” before I finish writing about the threat! AI is the result of man’s stupidity! I don’t like WOKE, DEI, and a sundry of other foibles of “modern” man (and woman). That’s the end (sort of) of my secular look at society.
Dare I try to be “prophetic” even though I hold no claim to being a prophet? Well, why not! Here goes! The Bible I have been reading since age seven, is replete with warnings about the end of days … the last days … the end times … etc. The Bible carries clear warnings about the inevitable results if people do not accept a very distinct pathway to follow in life. Personally (and prophetically), I see ominous signs in the universe as various bodies are increasingly encroaching on the space occupied by Earth. Asteroids, meteors, and new planets are being seen by astronomers as genuine threats from “outer space.” Meanwhile, on Earth, volcanic eruptions are multiplying in number and in locations. Earthquakes are too numerous to count, and more are coming. The weather is crazy (and probably being manipulated by the “Crazy”). Denominations are dying, televangelists are multimillionaires, mega “churches” are playgrounds, local churches are not surviving, clergy are not holy, and money buys the best brand of “religion.” I could go on, by why? You know that life is rapidly headed toward death!
The answer is to know God, in Christ, through the Holy Spirit. The reader (if you have not done so), can latch on to eternal guarantees by submitting to Jesus the Christ as Lord of Lords and SOON COMING King of Kings. He’s alive! He lives! Accept his rule and ask him to reign in your life. I tried it. It works.
